A new year, and a new cover star. This
month Phill Prothero's Austin 1300 Mk3
takes pride of place.
Phill informs me that this car has
covered a genuine 40,000 miles and has
only had two owners.

Richard Collett's 1967 Mk1 Vanden Plas
named "Margaret".
Strange to see a 11967 vehicle on a "G"
plate, isn't it? Richard tells me that
"Margaret" was originally exported to
Jersey and a few years later re-imported
to the UK. Hence how the "G"
registration was picked up.

Liz Smith's Riley Kestrel 1300.
Not only one of the rarest 1300's
but a well looked after example. I
understand that Liz uses this car on
a daily basis, and it is fitted with
a sunroof taken from a Saab. It's an
excellent piece of workmanship.

Terry Trueman's Austin 1100 Mk3.
You're probably questioning my
choice of image this month. But
there's a good reason I chose this
shot. I like the clean look of the
base models, and this shot shows
just how basic you got! No opening
back windows here!

Terry Trueman's Wolseley 1300
Mk2.
Sticking with the site's corporate
colours this month, Terry Trueman's
latest acquisition a Wolseley 1300.
Terry is one of the many ADO16.info
readers who have purchased their car
through the popular auction site
eBay, this being his second!

Lee Harris' Austin 1100 Mk1.
Lee recently restored this Austin
1100, and so I thought I'd give it
pride of place on the front of
ado16.info this month. Finished in
Connaught Green with a Beige trim, I
think you'll agree a good
combination?

A sorry end for the "original"
1100.
Not only a completely different look
for August but also the first red
car of 2006! I recently spotted this
1100 decaying in a field. Further
pictures are available on the
spotted page.
I'm sorry to say that it looks like
the Morris has now gone to the
scrapyard in the sky.

Volker Ahlert's 1970 Morris 1100
Mk2.
Volker bought this stunning example
off
eBay in April this year. Volker
did tell me that the first owner had
been very careful in ensuring the
car was wax protected from early on.
That's three vehicles so far this
year that have been bought off eBay,
has anyone else done the same?
