For a few weeks the mailing list ran a red telephone
box challenge. British Telecom had been slowly removing red
telephone boxes from village locations, so in the interests
of preservation I thought it would be a good idea to get
various ADO16 models snapped alongside one of Britain's best
known landmarks.
Entries are shown below for mailing list members who wished
to take part in the challenge. To see the bigger picture,

| :: Chris Jones' Austin 1100
Mk1 Countryman |
Chris is a regular
contributor to the forum and mailing
list, and took these interesting
pictures. |

Chris thought he'd
sway the judges decision by taking
pictures by an AA box - nice try Chris! |

| :: Declan Berridges' Mk1
vehicles |
Declan owns a Mk1
Morris 1100 and Mk1 Vanden Plas and did
one better than the other entrants, he
used both cars and snapped them at
various red telephone boxes near him. |

Does the telephone
box next to Marcus (Mk1 Morris 1100)
look like it's been added on afterwards? |

| :: Dave Wilkins Mk3 Austin 1300 |
Dave Wilkins snapped
"The shed" by this telephone box. Fancy
putting a telephone box that close to a
road junction. Not an ideal place to
stop and make a phone call is it? |

| :: Michael Turner's Mk2 Morris
1300 |
I couldn't let all
the other members of the mailing list
have all the fun, so I had a go at
taking my own snap. Not as good as
everyone else's, but I tried. |

| :: Scott Williams Mk1 MG 1100 |
Scott told the list
he would have problems when trying to
snap his MG by a red telephone box.
Imagine our surprise when he supplied us
with the following images. |

Scott's images were
the winner, obviously chosen because of
their originality. |
