NEC news 2016...

For those not in the know, 2016 is a very special year for one of ADO16 family. The 1100 Countryman/Traveller variants are celebrating 50 years since their official launch.

The 1100 Skeleton car has just been freshly restored by the Essex branch of The 1100 Club.

To celebrate The 1100 Club are arranging a very special stand for the 2016 NEC classic car show, which is being held between the 11th - 13th November. The skeleton car has just been freshly restored by the Essex branch of The 1100 Club and will be displayed alongside a fully restored 1972 Austin 1300 Countryman on a rotating turntable as it was at the launch.

The 1100 range spawned many variants and this year some of the more obscure versions will also be on display; in particular the Michelotti styled Spanish Austin Authi Victoria (UK registered), an Innocenti Italian styled IM3 (German registered) and to complete the international line-up an Austin America (Eire registered). Other notable models (and we believe) crowd pullers will be a Morris Crayford Convertible, a stunning MG 1300 complete with handmade stainless steel cylinder head nuts and a very original Austin 1300 GT.

The club has never showcased such an international offering! If you want to see something a little different, tickets are still available from the official website here.
